Is your blood blue or red????

Every once in a while you hear a kid who thinks he is super smart and says that your blood is blue and that is why your veins are green.

This is not true. Both de-oxygenized and oxygenized blood are a maroon shade. The reason your veins are green are due to a light illusion.
